one time i went to shake his hand & thank him for THEE GUITAR... right hand... & he stuck out his left, explaining that he'd been in a bad car accident when he was younger that really fucked his right arm, he'd chosen to have it set in a position where he could still play guitar with it... but not much else!...
It's hard to believe that someone actually invented the electric guitar...it's like inventing mayonnaise or something, you feel like it's always been there.

true... i saw him play many a time... he used to play every monday in NY at a place called "Fat Tuesdays"... good age though...
